Refund Policy
Last updated [DATE]
DebuggerOS is prepaid: you buy credit, and each run draws against your balance. This page explains when you are charged, when you are not, and how to get unused credit back. It forms part of our Terms of Service.
When you are charged
You are charged for a fix that lands — one where the cause was identified, a change was produced, and that change was verified against your build.
When you are not charged
- The run could not identify a cause.
- A change was produced but failed your build or tests, so nothing shipped.
- The run failed for a fault on our side.
In each of those cases the cost is not taken from your balance. If it has been taken in error, tell us and we will put it back.
Unused credit
Credit you have bought but not spent can be refunded to the original payment method on request, within [REFUND WINDOW] of purchase. Credit already spent on runs that produced verified fixes is not refundable, because the work was done.
Unused credit is otherwise subject to [CREDIT EXPIRY TERM].
If a fix caused a problem
If a change we merged caused a problem, contact us. We will refund the charge for that fix where the change was at fault. That is separate from any liability question, which is covered by the Terms of Service.
A verified fix means it passed your build and tests. It does not mean it was reviewed by a person — that part is yours, and worth keeping.
Consumer cancellation rights
If you are a consumer rather than a business, you may have a statutory right to cancel a distance purchase within 14 days. Where you have asked us to begin providing the service immediately and have used some of your credit, that right may be reduced or lost in proportion to what you have used. Which rules apply depends on where you are: [GOVERNING LAW / JURISDICTION]. These rights sit alongside this policy and are not limited by it.
How to request a refund
Write to [SUPPORT EMAIL] from the email address on your account, telling us which payment you mean. We aim to respond within [RESPONSE TIME] and to return approved refunds to the original payment method within [REFUND PROCESSING TIME]. Your bank may take longer to show it.
Chargebacks
If something has gone wrong, please contact us first — it is nearly always faster than a chargeback. We may suspend an account with an unresolved chargeback until it is settled.
